WORLD ANTIMICROBIAL AWARENESS WEEK 18 – 24 November 2021: Spread Awareness, Stop Resistance

Antimicrobial resistance is a growing problem in Aotearoa New Zealand and globally it is a crisis. This year the focus of the Awareness Week is on improving the understanding for both health professionals and patients of penicillin allergy and the harms associated with incorrect allergy labelling. CDHB Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee has produced the following bulletins (WAAW and Penicillin allergy) with collaboration from other DHBs. Further information and resources (including posters for advertising) can be found at BPAC and PSNZ websites.
